The same character in every AI video clip

Upload your character once, up to 9 reference images, and every clip on Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and Hailuo 2.3 follows them: the face, the outfit and the colours stay the same from scene to scene. One studio, one balance, the price of each clip before you make it.

$0.50 of free credit when you verify your email. No subscription: top-ups from $5 never expire.

How it works

A character sheet, then one clip per scene

  1. 1. Make or upload the character

A clear picture of each character: the face, the full outfit, ideally a turnaround or a sheet with a few angles. Draw it, use your own art, or make it with an image model in the same studio.
  2. 2. Attach the images to every scene

In the studio, attach two or more images to a video and they become references the clip keeps (one image alone opens the clip as its first frame). Say who is who in the prompt: "the girl from image 1 hands the red panda from image 2 a lantern".
  3. 3. Keep the wording too

Describe each character the same way in every prompt and change only the action, the place and the camera. The same images plus the same words is what keeps a series on model.
Models that follow references

What one clip costs, model by model

The video models made to follow reference images, with live prices for a typical clip, cheapest first; Wan 3.0 makes the longest scenes, up to 30 seconds. Every other resolution and length is on video pricing.

Which one to pick? We gave four of them the same character sheet and the same scene, and published every clip and its bill in consistent characters, four models tested; why models lose a character and how to build references that hold is in the full guide.

Making the series from a workflow? The n8n node and the API take the same reference images. A studio or agency producing for clients will find team details on the agencies page, and paying per clip without a plan is explained on the pay-as-you-go AI video generator page.

Questions

About consistent characters

How do I keep the same character across AI video clips?

Give the model the character itself, not only a description. In GenMagic you attach reference images (a character sheet, the face and the outfit, up to 9) and pick a video model made to follow references, such as Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and Hailuo 2.3. Each clip then starts from those images, so the face, hair, clothes and colours carry from scene to scene. Keep the same images and the same wording for the character in every prompt, and say who is who when there are several (image 1, image 2).

Which AI video models follow reference images?

Today 10 of the video models on GenMagic are made for it: Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Hailuo 2.3, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Grok Imagine Video, HappyHorse 1.0, HappyHorse 1.1, Wan 2.7 and Seedance 2.5. The table on this page lists each one with what a clip costs and how long it can be. Other models can still open a clip on one image (image-to-video), which keeps a character for that clip only.

How many reference images can I use?

Up to 9 per clip. One image opens the clip as its first frame; two or more become references the whole clip follows. A model that takes fewer answers with its own limit before anything is charged.

What does a consistent-character clip cost?

The same as any clip on that model: from $0.25 for 5 s at 480p on Seedance 2.0 Mini today. The price for your exact settings shows before you press Generate, a render that fails is not charged, and there is no subscription: top-ups start at $5 and never expire.

Can I make a whole series this way from n8n or my own code?

Yes. The GenMagic API takes the same reference images on POST /api/v1/videos (the references field), the verified n8n node has reference image fields, and the MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT make the clips, all from the same balance at the same prices. Teams making a series usually keep the character sheet at a fixed link and send it with every scene.

Can I use the clips commercially?

Yes. You keep the rights you have in what you make, subject to the terms of the model that made it. Use characters you own or have the rights to, and label AI people as AI where a platform asks you to.
